SK053009 Challenge

The Saturday challenge I'm doing is from Paper Craft Planet, one of the sites I LOVE! If you not a member you totally should join! This is a weekly sketch challenge and since I had to make a baby card for a girl I know who just had a baby boy, I decided to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and make a baby card.

I used Brilliant & Bashful Blue cardstock with my oval scalloped dies for the cuttlebug. The circles were done with my SU! circle punches. The printed paper is from the Bella Bird designer paper set from SU! With a a ribbon and a stamp it was done!

LSC Friday Challenge

So....I decided to start participating in some challenges through the week. Mainly to help with creating new cards and because it's fun :) Several of the challenges are done through Splitcoast Stampers, the link is on the side panel and I encourage you to check it out. LSC stands for Limited Supplies Challenge, so you have to creat a card with only the supplies listed. Today's challenge was to only use 1 piece of cardstock for the card base and then only paper and a few embellishments.

I used Chocolate Chip card stock and scraps of the Sweet Always Designer Paper that I had left over from another project. I added a ribbon & flower brad, along with a scalloped oval that I used the All Oval Thank-You stamp in Regal Rose.

Happy Birthday Karyn!

This is the card I made for my sister's birthday today and I HAD to post it! It's got to be one of the best cards I've made so far. It's called a Tri-Shutter card and it was soooo easy! It just took awhile to cut the designer paper for all the sections and embellish it. The only SU! things I used were the stamps (Heard from the Heart & Happy Birthday), Ink (Bravo Burgundy) and the Stampin Pastels in Bravo Bungundy & Chocolate Chip. The paper all came from Micheals that I picked up a few months ago during one of their sales.
I see myself making more of these cards!

More Butterflies

Here are 2 more cards that I did with the Flight of the Butterfly set. The ivory one was done with a card that I cut out a few years back on a die cut machine, that how I got the windows on the front. I added Certainly Celery paper and used the matching ink along with Chocolate Chip ink. Not my favorite card but still cute :)

The second one I used some left over lavender paper from my wedding last year with some matching mulbury. I always like how stamped images look on mulbury. I used a non-Stampin Up ink pad in lavender along with my VersaMark in black.

Butterflies - Day 3

Today's card was done with Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink card stock. I used the Top Note die with some of the Sweet Always SU designer paper, cut it in half and added a ribbon. I used Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip ink. Once I was done I felt like something was missing so I added 3 little rhinestones in the top corner, those I bought at a dollar store!

Butterflies-Day 2!

This is the 2nd card for this week using the "Flight if the Butterfly" stamp set from Stampin UP! All supplies are from SU! They consist of Very Vanilla cardstock, with a piece of designer paper in Apricot Appeal. I used the scallop edge punch, Pumpkin Pie ink and added 3 of the flower designer brads (Pumpkin Pie & So Saffron). I also made the card for tomorrow, but you'll have to tune in then to see :)

Butterflies!

Over the next few weeks I thought I would show different cards made with the same stamp set. It is amazing how versatile these sets can be. This week, I'm going to use the "Flight of the Butterfly" set. Today's card is done with Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue & Whisper White cardstock. I stamp the butterfly and verse with Not Quite Navy ink and then stamped one of the butterfly outline stamps on vellum, cut it out and attached it with a small piece of foam tape. Added a ribbon and viola, a cute little note card! Toooooo easy :)

Be Kind!

Today's card was made with the Botanical Blooms set that I recieved from my upline, Anita when I joined Stampin UP :) It's one of those 2 step stamp sets and I'm telling you, the Stamp-a-ma-jig is a MUST HAVE!!! I think I used Old Olive for the cardstock and some of the designer paper from the Sunshine Garden Simply Scrappin kit.

Chocolate Rocks!

I love how sharp brown & white look. This thank-you card was done with SU Chocolate Chip & Whisper White paper, embossed using my favorite new toy, the cuttlebug :) I added some brown ribbon and 2 embossed butterflies from the Flight of the Butterfly set which I used foam two way tape to make them "fly" off the card.

Pumpkins!

This is one of the cards I'll be demostrating at a workshop this Friday. I'm not usually an orange lover, but I really like how the orange (Pumpkin Pie) looks with the pinks and brown. The striped paper is from the "Sweet Always" designer paper series. I used the Very Versatile stamp set from the the Mini Occasions cataloque along with the Oval All set. I LOVE that set with the scalloped oval punch!

Simply Scrappin'

This is the gift I made for my Hostess for an upcoming workshop. It's a note card holder with 4 note cards. The neat thing about this is that is was made using ONLY the "Sunshine Garden" Simply Scrappin' kit from Stampin Up! I saw the idea on the Stampin Up! Demonstrator web site, so I can't take full credit :) Along with this note card set, I also did a scrap book page and still have quite a bit of material left over. Just goes to show how is included in these scrapbookig kits!

Blog Newbie

OK....so I've decided to start a blog. I have NO idea what I'm doing, so this should be interesting! LOL

The reason for this blog is so I have a way to show off my creations and to help manage my Stampin Up! business. Although I really only decided to become a Stampin Up demonstrator in order to help feed my addiction of paper crafting. But, it's also giving me a way to share my addiction with my friends, so that's cool to. So stayed tune as I hopefully learn my way around the world of blogging and let's see what exciting things happen!
