Splitcoast Wed Sketch!

I love doing sketch challenges, but I really love doing them when I am actually making a card for someone for a special occasion! One of my closest friend's husband is having a birthday tomorrow so this card is for him. He's a pro-golfer so the Many Mower stamp set from SU! was par-fect....LOL.

I used Always Artichoke with Manchester DP...I love those colors! I added a few vintage brads for some masculine embellishment.

Happy Birthday Doug!

Mojo Monday #103

Here's my submission for this week's Mojo challenge along with the sketch. I did another Christmas Card, you'll probably see a lot of Christmas from me for the next few months.

For this I used Real Red again for the base as well as more of the same left over Christmas paper I used for the Cuttlebug card. The verse is from the Snow Swirled set and I embellished the card with some Real Red brads and large/jumbo white brads....I stamped a snowflake onto the jumbo brad with red stazon ink.

Thanks for coming by to take a peek!

Cuttlebug Sunday

OK....so this challenge wasn't posted until after I went to bed last night, but better late than never, right?

This week's challenge was to use your cuttlebug anyway you wished but to use the sketch provided. Here's the sketch and my card, my FIRST Christmas card for 2009! I fiqure I better start making Christmas cards since before I know it December will be here!

The base is Real Red embossed with the snowflake folder. I used some left over Christmas paper from last year for the side stripe and my scalloped oval nestie for the verse. the stamps are from the Snow Swirled and Scenic Season SU! sets.

Time to Smarten Up!

Things have been sooooo crazy around here since I last posted. Now that the kids are back to school it's time I got back into finding more time to stamp and keep this blog updated! Since I last posted I also decided to end my maternity leave a few weeks early so I'll be headed back to work on September 14th. I've been trying to think up ways that I'll be able to balance work, baby, the kid's schedule AND my paper crafting.

I have come up with a "Stamping Schedule" for me to try and follow so I can do some of the weekly challenges that I love as well as do some stuff on my own. Here's what I came up with and what you can expect to see on my blog starting this Sunday:

Sunday - Cuttlebug Challenge on Paper Craft Planet
Monday - Mojo Monday
Tuesday - Paper Makeup Stamps Weekly Challenge
Wednesday - Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge
Thursday - Kim's Own Thang!
Friday - Stamping Bella Challenge
Saturday - Paper Craft Planet Sketch Challenge
My goal is to spend at least 30 min after the kids are in bed in my craft room every night. So hopefully my little schedule will help to keep me on track, especially once I return to work. I'm excited to start with the PMS & Stamping Bella challenges, I've had some of their stamps for awhile now so it's about time I start participating!
Thursdays will be my time to plan out what I'll be doing at my Stampin Up! workshops and Stamp Club and share it here :)
Now I'm off to draft my monthly newletter for my customers, have a GREAT day and I'll be back on Sunday with a Cuttlebug creation.
Thanks for dropping by,
Kim :)
